An Act to Dissolve
the Brookside Cemetery Commission

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Brookside Cemetery Commission Dissolution Act.

2 In this Act,

(a) "Commission" means the Brookside Cemetery Commission, a body corporate incorporated pursuant to Chapter 74 of the Acts of 1930, the Bridgewater Cemetery Commission Act;

(b) "Town" means the Town of Bridgewater.

3 The Commission is hereby dissolved.

4 (1) Upon the coming into force of this Act, all property, rights, liabilities and obligations of the Commission vest in and become the property, rights, liabilities and obligations of the Town.

(2) After the coming into force of this Act, all gifts, trusts, bequests, devises and grants of property or income or proceeds from property given to, made to or held in trust for the Commission are deemed to be given to, made to or held in trust for the Town for the use of the Town.

5 Chapter 141 of the Acts of 1888, An Act to incorporate the Brookside Cemetery Company, at Bridgewater, in the county of Lunenburg, is repealed.

6 Chapter 115 of the Acts of 1902, An Act respecting a Public Cemetery for the town of Bridgewater, is repealed.

7 Chapter 74 of the Acts of 1930, the Bridgewater Cemetery Commission Act, is repealed.
