Le comité permanent sur la santé étudie les questions de l’accès aux services de soins de santé et de la prestation de ces services. Il se réunit habituellement sur une base mensuelle. Les délibérations de ce comité sont présentées en direct par le service de télévision législative avec sous-titrage codé sur la chaîne 95 et la chaîne 630 (haute définition) d'Eastlink.
