Explanatory Note

This Bill requires radiologists to report breast density to women or their family physician following mammography.

An Act to Amend Chapter 4
of the Acts of 2004,
the Health Protection Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 4 of the Acts of 2004, the Health Protection Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 17 the following Section:

    17A Whenever a woman has a mammogram, the responsible radiologist shall report to the woman or to her family physician the breast density determined as a result.
