An Act Respecting Physician Recruitment

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Physician Recruitment Act.

2 (1) Subject to Section 3, the Minister of Health and Wellness shall hire a private supplier of physician recruitment services to assist the Department of Health and Wellness in the recruitment of medical practitioners to the Province.

(2) The supplier hired under subsection (1) must have appropriate credentials and a demonstrated history of recruiting success in North America.

3 The money required for the purpose of this Act must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
