Explanatory Notes

Clause 1 updates the title of the minister responsible for the Act.

Clause 2 continues the Public Archives of Nova Scotia as a body corporate.

Clause 3 corrects an error.

An Act to Amend Chapter 24
of the Acts of 1998,
the Public Archives Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Clause 2(d) of Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1998, the Public Archives Act, as amended by Chapter 26 of the Acts of 2011, is further amended by adding ", Tourism" immediately after "Culture" in the second line.

2 Section 4 of Chapter 24 is repealed and the following Section substituted:

    4 The central agency of Government known as the Public Archives of Nova Scotia is hereby continued as a body corporate to be known as the Public Archives of Nova Scotia.

3 Subsection 6(1) of Chapter 24, as amended by Chapter 26 of the Acts of 2011, is further amended by striking out "appointed" the second time it appears in the second line.
