Explanatory Note

This Bill permits traffic control persons to direct traffic within areas or along routes designated for an event authorized by the Province or a municipality.

An Act to Amend Chapter 293
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Motor Vehicle Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 (1) Subsection 107B(1) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, as enacted by Chapter 44 of the Acts of 2001, is amended by adding "or within an area or along a route designated for an event authorized by the Province or a municipality" immediately after "operation" in the last line.

(2) Subsection 107B(2) of Chapter 293, as enacted by Chapter 44 of the Acts of 2001, is amended by adding "or within an area or along a route designated for an event" immediately after "area" in the second line.

(3) Subsection 107B(3) of Chapter 293, as enacted by Chapter 44 of the Acts of 2001, is amended by adding "or within an area or along a route designated for an event" immediately after "area" in the last line.
