Explanatory Note
This Bill changes the name of the St. Andrew's Society of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia to "St. Andrew's Society of Pictou County, Nova Scotia".
An Act to Amend Chapter 192
of the Acts of 1921,
An Act to Incorporate
"St. Andrew's Society
of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia."
1 The title of Chapter 192 of the Acts of 1921, An Act to Incorporate "St. Andrew's Society of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.", is amended by striking out "New Glasgow" in the second line and substituting "Pictou County".
(a) adding "(1)" immediately after the Section number; and
(b) adding the following subsections:
(3) A reference in any enactment or any document, including any deed, lease, will, trust or indenture, to St. Andrew's Society of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia is, as regards any subsequent transaction, matter or thing, a reference to St. Andrew's Society of Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
(4) No rights, duties, obligations or liabilities of St. Andrew's Society of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia are in any way affected by the change of name made by subsection (2), and those rights, duties, obligations and liabilities continue to be vested in and are binding upon it by the name "St. Andrew's Society of Pictou County, Nova Scotia".
