An Act to Amend Chapter 197
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Health Services and Insurance Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act is amended by adding immediately after Section 4 the following Section:

4A (1) Subject to subsection (2), a spouse or dependant of a member of the Canadian Forces moving to the Province from outside Canada is insured for the payment of the cost of insured services commencing on the day the spouse or dependant takes up residence in the Province.

(2) The moneys required for the purpose of subsection (1) shall be paid out of moneys appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
