Danielle Barkhouse
Danielle Barkhouse was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Chester-St. Margaret’s in 2021.
She is a Deputy Speaker.
Prior to being an MLA, Ms. Barkhouse was a councillor for the Municipality of Chester.
She is Vice Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, and Vice Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee, and Vice Chair of the Health Committee. She is a member of the Community Services Committee. She is also a member of the House of Assembly Management Commission. In addition Ms. Barkhouse is a member of the Special Committee to Review the Estimates of the Auditor General and the Chief Electoral Officer.
