House of Assembly Management Commission

M I N U T E S

January 29, 2025

A meeting of the House of Assembly Management Commission was held in the Committee Room of One Government Place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, immediately following the meeting of the Special Committee to Review the Estimates of the Auditor General and the Chief Electoral Officer at 4:00 p.m.

Present were: Hon. Danielle Barkhouse, Chair; John White; Hon. Becky Druhan; Marco MacLeod; Lisa Lachance; Susan Leblanc; Hon. Derek Mombourquette (substituting for Hon. Iain Rankin); and James Charlton, Chief Clerk and Secretary to the Management Commission.

Also present were: Karen Howard, Acting Director of Operations and Administration; Gordon D. Hebb, kc, Chief Legislative Counsel; and David Hastings, Assistant Clerk.

The meeting was called to order by Ms. Barkhouse at 4:27 p.m.

1) Minutes of the meeting of May 22, 2024

It was moved by Mr. Maguire and seconded by Mr. Mombourquette that the minutes of the meeting of May 22, 2024, be approved as circulated.

CARRIED

2) Audit Committee appointments

It was moved by Ms. Leblanc and seconded by Mr. White that Marco MacLeod and Lisa Lachance be appointed to the Audit Committee, each for a term commencing January 29, 2025, and continuing until that Member ceases to be a member of the Management Commission or is replaced as a member of the Audit Committee by the Management Commission, whichever first occurs.

CARRIED

The agenda being concluded, the meeting adjourned at 4:32 p.m.
