An Act to Amend Chapter 148
of the Acts of 1930,
An Act to Incorporate the Nova Scotia
Fish and Game Protective Association
and County or District Fish and Game Associations

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 (1) The name of the Nova Scotia Wildlife Federation, a body corporate, incorporated by Chapter 148 of the Acts of 1930, An Act to Incorporate the Nova Scotia Fish and Game Protective Association and County or District Fish and Game Associations, is changed to the "Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters".

(2) The names of the County or District Wildlife Associations, bodies corporate, incorporated by Chapter 148, are changed to "(name of county or district, as the case may be) Anglers and Hunters Association".

2 The title of Chapter 148 is amended by

(a) striking out "Fish and Game Protective Association" and substituting "Federation of Anglers and Hunters"; and

(b) striking out "Fish and Game" and substituting "Anglers and Hunters".

3 Chapter 148 is further amended by renumbering Section 1 as Section 1A and adding immediately before the heading "PART I" the following Section:

1 This Act may be cited as the Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters Act.

4 Section 1 of Chapter 148, as amended by Chapter 154 of the Acts of 1931, Chapter 152 of the Acts of 1948, Chapter 95 of the Acts of 1956 and Chapter 121 of the Acts of 1968 and renumbered as Section 1A by this Act, is further amended by

(a) striking out "Nova Scotia Wildlife Federation" in the third and fourth lines and substituting "the Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters";

(b) striking out "Wildlife" in the second line of subsection (1) and substituting "Anglers and Hunters"; and

(c) striking out "Fish and Game Protective" in the seventh and eighth lines and substituting "Anglers and Hunters".

5 Section 10 of Chapter 148 is amended by striking out "Wildlife" in the fourth line and substituting "Anglers and Hunters".

6 The heading immediately before Section 11 of Chapter 148 is amended by striking out "Fish and Game Protective" and substituting "Anglers and Hunters".

7 Subsection 11(1) of Chapter 148 is amended by striking out "Fish and Game Protective" and substituting "Anglers and Hunters".

8 A reference in any enactment or document to The Nova Scotia Fish and Game Protective Association, The Nova Scotia Forest and Wild Life Conservation Association, The Nova Scotia Fish and Game Association or the Nova Scotia Wildlife Federation shall, as regards any subsequent transaction, matter or thing, be held and construed to be a reference to the Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters.

9 A reference in any enactment or document to a County or District Fish and Game Protective Association, a County or District Forest and Wild Life Conservation Association, a County or District Fish and Game Association or a County or District Wildlife Association shall, as regards any subsequent transaction, matter or thing, be held and construed to be a reference to a County or District Anglers and Hunters Association.

10 No rights, duties, obligations or liabilities of the Nova Scotia Wildlife Federation or of a County or District Wildlife Association are in any way affected by the changes of name made by this Act, Chapter 152, Chapter 95 or Chapter 121 and those rights, duties, obligations and liabilities continue to be vested in and are binding upon them under the name "Nova Scotia Federation of Anglers and Hunters" or "(name of county or district, as the case may be) Anglers and Hunters Association", respectively.
