An Act to Confirm the Boundaries of
the Electoral Districts of Nova Scotia

WHEREAS the Provincial Electoral Boundaries Commission, by report dated March 6, 1992, and entitled "Effective Political Representation in Nova Scotia: The 1992 Report of the Provincial Electoral Boundaries Commission", recommended the boundaries for the fifty-two electoral districts of the Province;

AND WHEREAS the Provincial Electoral Boundaries Commission, by report dated June 1, 1992, and entitled "Supplemental Report", recommended changes in the electoral boundaries as described in the report of March 6, 1992;

AND WHEREAS it was the intention of the Legislature to adopt the electoral boundaries as recommended in the reports of March 6, 1992, and June 1, 1992;

AND WHEREAS the electoral boundaries as recommended in the reports of March 6, 1992, and June 1, 1992, are set out in Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act:

Short title

1 This Act may be cited as the Electoral Boundaries (1992) Confirmation Act. 1994, c. 7, s. 1.

Electoral boundaries confirmed

2 The boundaries of the fifty-two electoral districts of the Province, as described in Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, are confirmed and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, that part of the Town of Bedford, in the County of Halifax, lying northwest of Highway 102 (Bicentennial Drive) is in the electoral district of Sackville-Beaver Bank. 1994, c. 7, s. 2; 1997 (2nd Sess.), c. 6, s. 3.

Effective date

3 This Act has effect on and after August 1, 1992. 1994, c. 7, s. 3.
