An Act to Substitute All Saints
Community Health Care Foundation for
All Saints Springhill Hospital and
All Saints Springhill Hospital Corporation as
the Beneficiary of Certain Gifts

Short title

1 This Act may be cited as the All Saints Springhill Hospital Gifts Act. 1994, c. 2, s. 1.

Interpretation

2 In this Act,

(a) "Foundation" means All Saints Community Health Care Foundation, incorporated pursuant to the Societies Act; and

(b) "Hospital" means All Saints Springhill Hospital Corporation, incorporated by Chapter 196 of the Acts of 1893 and includes All Saints Springhill Hospital. 1994, c. 2, s. 2.

Foundation substituted as beneficiary of gift

3 (1) As regards any subsequent transaction, matter or thing, the Foundation is hereby substituted for the Hospital as the beneficiary of any gift, including any devise, bequest, endowment or trust of which the Hospital would, but for this Section, be the beneficiary and every document, including every will, trust instrument, deed, life insurance policy, endowment or indenture that refers to the Hospital is amended to the extent necessary to give effect to such substitution.

Deemed repeal of subsection (1)

(2) If the objects of the Foundation are changed from the objects as now set out in its Memorandum of Association on the coming into force of this Act, subsection (1) is deemed to have been repealed. 1994, c. 2, s. 3.
