This Bill

(a) changes the membership of the Antiochian Maronite Catholic Church—Our Lady of Lebanon—Corporation to substitute the "Bursar" for the "Protosyncellus" and "four lay members" for "two lay members"; and

(b) provides for the use of the proceeds from the sale of real property of the Church.

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 3(3) of Chapter 38 of the Acts of 1996, the Antiochian Maronite Catholic Church—Our Lady of Lebanon—Corporation Act, is repealed and the following subsection substituted:

(3) The members of the Corporation are

(a) the Eparchial Bishop;

(b) the Bursar;

(c) the Pastor;

(d) four lay members of the Church who are proposed by the Pastor and appointed by the Eparchial Bishop; and

(e) such other persons who, from time to time, become members of the Corporation in accordance with the by-laws of the Corporation, as long as they remain members of the Corporation.

2 Chapter 38 is further amended by adding immediately after Section 5 the following Section:

5A Where the Corporation receives proceeds from the sale of real property held in trust by the Corporation for the Church, the Corporation shall

(a) give the proceeds to the Church; or

(b) use the proceeds to acquire real property to be held in trust for the Church.
