Explanatory Note

This Bill removes the limitation of 5 years, from the happening of an accident or a worker learning that he or she suffers from an occupational disease, for the worker to apply to the Workers' Compensation Board for an extension of time for filing a claim.

An Act to Amend Chapter 10
of the Acts of 1994-95,
the Workers' Compensation Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 83(6) of Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is repealed.
