Explanatory Note

This Bill amends the Labour Standards Code to allow an employee an unpaid leave to attend his or her Canadian citizenship ceremony.

An Act to Amend Chapter 246
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Labour Standards Code,
Respecting Citizenship Ceremony Leave

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 246 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Labour Standards Code, is amended by adding immediately after Section 60I the following heading and Section:

LEAVE FOR CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY
