Explanatory Note

This Bill corrects errors in amendments to the Engineering Profession Act.

An Act to Amend Chapter 148
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Engineering Profession Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 (1) Clause 6(1)(la) of Chapter 148 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Engineering Profession Act, as enacted by Chapter 13 of the Acts of 2009, is amended by striking out "and power of the Council" in the first line and substituting "empower the Council to".

(2) Subsection 6(2) of Chapter 148, as enacted by Chapter 13 of the Acts of 2009, is amended by striking out "(4)(la)" in the second line and substituting "(1)(la)".

2 Subsection 17(7) of Chapter 148, as enacted by Chapter 13 of the Acts of 2009, is amended by adding "further" immediately after "complainant's" in the third line.
