This Bill amends the Assessment Act to apply the cap on the taxable assessed value to all property that is residential premises as defined by the Residential Tenancies Act.

1 Subsection 45A(2) of Chapter 23 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Assessment Act, is amended by adding immediately after clause (a) the following clause:

(aa) effective the 2009-10 and subsequent municipal taxation years, property that is residential premises as defined by the Residential Tenancies Act;
