An Act to Increase
Youth Civic Participation in Nova Scotia

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Youth Civic Participation Act.

2 Clause 28(1)(a) of Chapter 140 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Elections Act, is amended by striking out "eighteen" in the first line and substituting "sixteen".

3 Clause 14(a) of Chapter 300 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Municipal Elections Act, is amended by striking out "eighteen" in the first line and substituting "sixteen".
