An Act to Eliminate
Mandatory Retirement

1 This Act may be cited as the Mandatory Retirement Elimination Act.

2 Clause 14(3)(a) of Chapter 140 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Elections Act, is repealed.

3 Subsection 43(2) of Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Gaming Control Act, is repealed.

4 Clause 6(h) of Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Human Rights Act, is repealed.

5 Subsection 3(3) of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Justices of the Peace Act, as enacted by Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2000, is amended by striking out "until age sixty-five" in the second line.

6 Subsections 69(2) and (3) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, are repealed.

7 Clause 3(3)(a) of Chapter 349 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Police Services Act, is amended by striking out "or over the age of sixty-five years" in the first and second lines.

8 Subsection 3(5) of Chapter 379 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Public Trustee Act, is repealed.

9 Subsection 5(3) of Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1992, the Utility and Review Board Act, is amended by striking out "until the member reaches the age of sixty-five years" in the second and third lines.
