Student Aid Act (amended)

This Bill provides that no reduction shall be made of any amount awarded to a student by reason of the income or assets of the student's parent, step-parent, guardian, spouse, common-law spouse or any relative upon whom the student is considered to be dependent.

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows: 1 Chapter 449 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Student Aid Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 16 the following Section:

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to rules or regulations attached to a federal government program aimed at improving access to post-secondary education.
