Explanatory Notes

Clause 1 amends the Energy Resources Conservation Act to require the Government to make available interest-free loans for energy-efficiency retrofitting of private homes and eligible small businesses.

Clause 2 adds regulation-making authority respecting the eligibility of small businesses for loans and prescribing loan re-payment terms.

An Act to Amend Chapter 147
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Energy Resources Conservation Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows: 1 Chapter 147 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Energy Resources Conservation Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 12, the following Section:

2 Subsection 29(1) of Chapter 147, as amended by Chapter 15 of the Acts of 2001, is further amended by adding immediately before clause (g) the following clauses:
