Clause 1 provides that a person whose driver's licence has been revoked after a conviction for theft of gasoline or diesel oil may apply to have the licence restored six months after the date of revocation.
Clause 2 requires the Registrar of Motor Vehicles or the Director of Highway Safety to revoke the driver's licence of a person convicted of theft of gasoline or diesel oil under the Criminal Code (Canada). Clause 3 provides that the Act comes into force on proclamation.
1 Subsection 67(5) of Chapter 293 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Motor Vehicle Act, as amended by Chapter 32 of the Acts of 1998, Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1999, Chapter 44 of the Acts of 2001, Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2002, Chapter 30 of the Acts of 2002, Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2004 and Chapter 32 of the Acts of 2005, is further amended by adding immediately after clause (a) the following clause:
