This Bill prohibits the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board from approving an increase in rates requested by Nova Scotia Power Incorporated where the increase is based on future costs that have not been submitted to and approved by the Board.
An Act to Amend Chapter 380
of the Revised Statutes, 1989,
the Public Utilities Act
1 Chapter 380 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Public Utilities Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 64 the following Section:
64A Where Nova Scotia Power Incorporated makes an application pursuant to Section 64, the Board shall not approve an increase in rates, tolls or charges pursuant to that Section if the requested increase is based on future costs that have not been submitted to and approved by the Board.
