Explanatory Note

This Bill adds the Bear River Band to the list of bands set out in the Schedule to the Mi'kmaq Education Act.

An Act to amend Chapter 17
of the Acts of 1998,
the Mi'kmaq Education Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 The Schedule to Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1998, the Mi'kmaq Education Act, is amended by adding immediately after paragraph 2. the following paragraph:

2 This Act has effect on and after April 1, 2004, upon the Governor in Council so ordering and declaring by proclamation.
