Honourable Brendan Maguire
The Honourable Brendan Maguire was first elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly as MLA for Halifax Atlantic in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017 and 2021 as a Liberal. On February 22, 2024 he crossed the floor to join the Progressive Conservative Caucus as Minister of Community Services.
He has been Deputy Speaker and Minister of Municipal Affairs.
He has worked as a sales representative and as a technician for the Halifax Water Commission.
