An Act to Amend Chapter 31
of the Acts of 2004,
the Police Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 (1) Subsection 26H(2) of Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, as enacted by Chapter 25 of the Acts of 2014, is amended by

(a) adding "case-specific" immediately after "provide" in the fifth line; and

(b) adding "on an ad hoc basis" immediately after "investigation" in the sixth line.

(2) Section 26H of Chapter 31, as enacted by Chapter 68 of the Acts of 2010 and amended by Chapter 25 of the Acts of 2014, is further amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following subsection:

    (3) With the approval of the Governor in Council, the Minister may enter into agreements with the government of another province of Canada to allow the Serious Incident Response Team to provide continuous oversight of policing in that province by providing independent investigation of serious incidents involving police.
