Explanatory Note

This Bill provides coverage for the cost of the high-dose flu vaccine for everyone 65 years of age and older.

An Act to Amend Chapter 7
of the Acts of 2011,
the Fair Drug Pricing Act,
Respecting High-dose Flu Vaccine Coverage

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 10 of Chapter 7 of the Acts of 2011, the Fair Drug Pricing Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following subsection:

(1A) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the Fluzone High-dose Quadrivalent vaccine is deemed to be a benefit.

2 Section 11 of Chapter 7 is amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following subsection:

(2A) Notwithstanding subsection (2), no copayment or deductible may be charged to a person sixty-five years of age or older for the Fluzone High-dose Quadrivalent vaccine.
