An Act to Improve Access to Pharmaceuticals

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Improving Access to Pharmaceuticals Act.

2 (1) Notwithstanding the Fair Drug Pricing Act or any regulations made under that Act, but subject to subsection (2),

(a) no premiums may be charged to persons enrolled in the Seniors' Pharmacare Program; and

(b) no deductible may be charged to persons enrolled in the Family Pharmacare Program,

for one year after the coming into force of this Act.

(2) The money required for the purpose of this Section must be paid out of money appropriated for that purpose by the Legislature.
