Explanatory Note

This Bill directs the Governor in Council to designate the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre as a psychiatric facility.

An Act to Amend Chapter 42
of the Acts of 2005,
the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 83 the following Section:

    83A Notwithstanding subsection 83(1), the Governor in Council shall make a regulation designating the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre as a psychiatric facility.
