Explanatory Note

This Bill provides that Nova Scotia long service medals for paramedics and other persons involved in the provision of emergency health services are to be given after 15 and after 25 years of service.

An Act to Amend Chapter 5
of the Acts of 2005,
the Emergency Health Services Act

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Subsection 9A(1) of Chapter 5 of the Acts of 2005, the Emergency Health Services Act, as enacted by Chapter 14 of the Acts of 2008, is amended by adding "after fifteen years of service and after twenty-five years of service" immediately after "service" in the last line.
