An Act to Transfer Industrial Expansion Funds
from the Department of Economic and Rural Development
to Nova Scotia Business Incorporated

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Industrial Expansion Fund Transfer Act.

2 In this Act,

(a) "Industrial Expansion Fund" means the Industrial Expansion Fund established under the Industrial Development Act;

(b) "Nova Scotia Business Fund" means the Nova Scotia Business Fund established under the Nova Scotia Business Incorporated Act.

3 (1) The Minister of Finance shall transfer all moneys in the Industrial Expansion Fund to the Nova Scotia Business Fund.

(2) All funds available for the Industrial Expansion Fund, but for the repeal of the Industrial Development Act, must be made available to Nova Scotia Business Incorporated for the Nova Scotia Business Fund.

4 All funding agreements and arrangments made pursuant to the Industrial Development Act before the coming into force of this Act with respect to the Industrial Expansion Fund, or otherwise under that Act, continue as the responsibility of Nova Scotia Business Incorporated under the Nova Scotia Business Incorporated Act.

5 Chapter 222 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Industrial Development Act, is repealed.
